I met Caroline in front of my lens at Sexy Beast Fitness in San Diego. I was shooting pole that day and her photos turned out stunning. I ran into her months later wile shooting an event at that same location and she decided to do a shoot at my studio with her sister and some friends. Some highlights from that shoot can be seen here.
I asked Caroline a few interview questions – see what she had to say below the photos.
What’s your story? … in 50ish words.
My story is very much still being written but I am a dancer first and foremost. That has pretty been the one thing that has followed me through my journey. I started dancing ballet about seventeen years ago and in between then and now have studied so many different forms. Landing me currently on my favorite, pole dancing! I am in love with it and very happy to be an instructor at Sexy Beast Fitness.
How long have you been doing the pole fitness thing?
I discovered pole fitness when I was 18 and sporadically took classes here and there as well as buying my own pole for my room. My serious training didn’t start until I found Sexy Beast a little over half a year ago.
What else do you do to keep that amazing figure of yours?
I have always had an active lifestyle but it is mostly from pole, ballet, and Pilates (I am currently working on my certification).
Looking pretty comfy in those ballet shoes – when did you start taking dance classes?
I took my first ballet class when I was 6, it’s been my passion ever since.
What inspired you to shoot with VIXEN Photography studio?
UM Hello!!! Every picture is stunning!! I actually found VIXEN Photography a few years back and wanted to do a shoot with them every since. It just so happened Scott was working at the studio that I was very freshly new to. It kind of seemed to fall into place just right.
How many photo shoots like this have you done?
I have done a lot of dance photo shoots but nothing every quite like this! Champagne, girlfriends, music, and costumes! Way too fun!
When you think of your dream photo shoot, what do you picture in your mind?
I’ve always loved a touch of glamour, and anything with fantasy themes. I would love to do a Alice in Wonderland meets ballet glam photo shoot.
What would be the ultimate photo prop for a shoot?
I just need some heels or pointe shoes and I can do my thing! A large throne never hurts though 😉
How do you define sexy?
Sexy is truly all about being comfortable and confident. It’s amazing how someone can look just as sexy in fake eye lashes and latex as they can in pajamas (in the right setting and with the right people).
I shot you and your sister on the same day – sexy seems to run in the family! Looking back at your family albums, does it go deeper than this generation?
Oh boy if you saw a picture of my mom and her sisters! They are all stunning so I’m grateful we picked up on some of their wildness.
Would love to work with you again – what could we do next time to top this shoot?
To top what we did?! I don’t even know where to begin with that. I know next time we shoot I hope there’s a pole involved because I adore your pole shoots!
